About Us
History
The Belle-Clair Soccer League (BCSL) has been in existence since 1967 and produces a very active youth soccer program. The sport of soccer enables children to grow physically and develop positive attitudes while having fun. Our program serves approximately 2000 boys and girls ages 5 to 14 on over 140 teams in the Belleville/ St. Clair County area each year. The league is run by hundreds of volunteers who have the children’s interest at heart.
Mission
BCSL is an educational and recreational youth league. The mission of the league is to provide a venue for children to exercise, learn the game of soccer, and to help them build a friendly competitive spirit.
Our objectives are:
- To afford the opportunity to every boy and girl within Belleville and the vicinity to participate in the soccer program.
- To promote and STRESS sportsmanship among players, managers, coaches, referees, parents and spectators.
- To place players on teams and in divisions most appropriate for the player’s qualifications.
- To obtain the best available leadership as coaches, managers, referees, coordinators and any other capacity in which leadership is required.
