Belle Clair Soccer
History
Belle Clair Soccer League is a non-profit organization that started in 1967. Currently, we serve an average of 1,800 boys and girls, ages 3 to 14, on more than 130 teams each year. Except for a small handful of staff, the entire organization and all of it's operations, administration and activities are run by the graciousness of hundreds of volunteers , who are dedicated to providing the best soccer experience.
Mission
BCSL is an educational and recreational youth league. The mission of the league is to provide a venue for children to exercise, learn the game of soccer, and to help them build a friendly competitive spirit.
Objectives
To afford the opportunity to every boy and girl within Belleville and the vicinity to participate in the soccer program.
To promote sportsmanship among players, managers, coaches, referees, parents and spectators.
To place players on teams and in divisions most appropriate for the player’s qualifications.
To obtain the best available leadership as coaches, managers, referees, coordinators and any other capacity in which leadership is required.
This web site is provided as a service to the players, coaches, referees and the general community to provide information about the league, game schedules, rules and various training tips.
The league is governed by a Board of Directors that consists of eight elected and two appointed officers. All officers are volunteers and receive no compensation. The Program Director and the part-time League Manager and are the only paid staff positions. The Head Referee is a contracted position.
